Successful Characterization of the Exoplanet WASP-189b

Media Lario S.r.l. congratulates the European Space Agency (ESA) for the successful characterization of the exoplanet WASP-189b, one of the hottest extra- solar planets known to date, using the Characterising ExOPlanet Satellite, or CHEOPS. ESA’s latest Exoplanet Research mission, CHEOPS was launched into space in December 2019.

Media Lario supplied the primary optical element of the CHEOPS telescope instrument, a 330 mm diameter high precision space qualified mirror. Media Lario has supplied critical optics and optical systems for numerous space telescopes for several decades.
