Flight Simulator Optical Systems

Based on our experience manufacturing robust light-weight mirror structures and the patented Repli-formed Optics™ process, Media Lario has developed light-weight mirrored screens for full sized civilian and military flight simulators. These structures remove 50-70% of the weight of the screen structures, currently made of thick heavy glass, from the simulator structure. This significantly reduces the cost of operating a full flight simulator as well as facilitating an easier assembly and integration of the simulator at the customer site.

As full flight simulators become an increasingly important part of aviation training, the significant benefits brought by the weight reduction enable their extended use.
